Robert James “Bobby” Fischer is considered by many as one of the greatest chess players of all time. His name is synonymous with chess in the USA. Bobby Fischer was born in 1943. At the age of 13 he earned the brilliancy price in the Rosenwald Memorial Tournament against Donald Byrne, the game is known as “The Game of the Century”. Fischer participated in eight US Chess Championships, winning each one of them. In 1971 he became the first official number one rated chess player of FIDE.
